A savage war followed as the monkey army engaged in a torrid battle with Ravan’s demon army. During the fighting, Lakshman was severely injured by Ravan and about to die due to his almost fatal wounds. Only a special herb grown in the Himalayas could save him as it was a natural medicinal cure.
