The Message

In Krishna - The Musical, 'The Message' is sung by Krishna to Arjun, instilling confidence in him and advising him, that it is his duty, to oppose adversaries who have done wrong, even if they are his cousins. Krishna dispels Arjun’s negativity and spurs him to endeavour to triumph over evil.

Lyrics

You can build a kingdom most anywhere
Your conviction's what eases the flight
But don’t you build castles in the air
Or your dreams will fade out of sight
And fighting will break out in your mind
Your footsteps of valour will stall
You're brave if you ride to the other side
But nobody'll stop you tonight
Nobody'll stop you tonight
Memories and lost pages are the author's plight
Still I say the glamour's not gone
Will candle-lights brighten up the hallways tonight
Where the tapestry's torn and all worn
But few are those left who'll stand up for their rights
'Cause fervour has lost all its flair
You're brave if you ride to the other side
But nobody'll stop you tonight
Nobody'll stop you tonight
All your emotions are locked in outside of the dawn
The celebrations have ended along with the war
You can see what you want to see
You can feel what you want to feel
You can be what you want to be
But love is a feeling that lasts for eternity
Yes love is a feeling that lasts for eternity
Wandering down the corridors of life
Strange experiences along the way
Enduring what the future lays out in your stride
Believing life's a game that you play
Destiny to you - it doesn't matter much
'Cause you can cut the knot and gain ground
You're brave if you ride to the other side
But nobody'll stop you tonight
Nobody'll stop you tonight
